So the other day I needed to validate and format some xml and looked for a website to do just that.

Well, whilst I found a few sites that allowed me to do this to varying degrees, I couldn't find a 'good one' or one that also simplified editing xml online.

A quick domain search showed that www.OnlineXmlEditor.com was available so I quickly registered it with a view of knocking something up with the following functionality during the LeedsHack Hackathon in July.

- Validate xml
- Format xml
- Different xml editing options

I've already registered a dedicated email and Twitter account for the project.

As a developer intending to build this much needed Online Xml Editor, I owe it to my fellow developers to make a good attempt at it and make it a valuable developer resource.
